A Long, Fun Weekend...that ended with a broken window

We spent this past long weekend in GR. Kevin had his kids for an extra weekend. I had a lot of fun. We celebrated Travis' birthday which was fun too. Monday afternoon, we went and visited my parents. I don't know why, but Lilyana is scared of "Nana"....lol. And she's definitely scared of Great Grandpa Dykstra. He couldn't even look at her without her crying. It was kind of funny but heartbreaking at the same time. There's no reason why she should not like some of her family. I gotta make it a point to go there as much as possible. I don't want her to be scared of my family but be ok and love Kevin's family. My family is important to. I know she's little and hopefully she'll grow out of it soon.

On our way home, just outside of Kalamazoo, my phone starts ringing. I recognize it as an Indiana number. So I answer it, not knowing what to expect. It was the Elkhart Police Department. They were calling me to notify me that someone broke into my car. I was so mad, I didn't even ask what the damages were or if it looked like anything was missing. I rode the whole rest of the way home pissed and not knowing. I got home and sure enough, my window was broken. The drivers side. What a shitty thing to come home to. Am I not allowed to leave my car home when I go out of town for fear that someone will break into it? That's what I'm feeling like. The only good thing out of it all is that they didn't steal anything. My stereo was where it should be and all my cds. So I'm thinking, either the neighbors Rot started barking and scared whoever off or maybe it was accidental. Like somebody driving by a little too close to my car and shattering the window with their mirror. There's no new dents or scrapes on my car though. I'm just happy nothing was taken. The neighbor guy behind us told Kevin he could probably get us a new window for $45 which isn't too bad. And he even offered to help Kevin put it in since Kevin has never had to replace a power window before. That's definitely a lot cheaper than taking it to a place to get it fixed.

Well, thats it for now. Everyday is usually boring. So there's not ever much to write about.

Oh, I almost forgot.....Lilyana got a Jumparoo and a walker this weekend from her Grandma Crow. They're used but look really really really good! She's already jumping a ton in the Jumparoo and and she can walk backwards in the walker...although with that I don't really think she knows she's doing it....lol.

Ok, thats it for now!

Lilyana has a weird rash

This morning, I woke up and started my day just like any other day. Lilyana woke up and I fed her. Well, she some how had a rash all over her body. My first thought was "daddy" was at work last night late...maybe he had something on him when he came to bed. That wasn't the case. I had a doctors appointment today so I had them look at her too. When they checked her over, the rash was gone. What a magical child I have. I sure felt like an idiot. On our way home, I had to get some prescriptions filled. I dropped them off and parked in the parking lot to wait. Of course Lilyana couldn't wait to eat till we got home. So I climbed into the back of the van and whatda ya know....the rash was back but on different spots. I washed her car seat thinking that was it. Plus all her blankets and ours thinking that might be it too. Still not the solution to the problem. She doesn't seem to be in any pain or be running any fever. And she doesn't seem to be itching any of the spots either. I'm thinking that it could be some form of heat rash....but obviously I'm not sure cause the doctor wasn't able to see anything. I could schedule another appointment but then I would probably just look like a fool again....lol. Hopefully it goes away soon. I've been keeping an extra close eye on her in case its something serious. I'm just baffled.

Keep rollin, rollin, rollin....

So, the other day I put Lilyana in her bouncy seat and walked out of the room. She was making some noises and I decided to check on her. After all, it had been at least 10 minutes since I walked away. When I walked into the room she was on her stomach on the floor. I was totally shocked...shocked that she figured out how to roll out and shocked that she didn't cry. From now on the buckles are a must!!!!!

I put her on the floor now, and she rolls over. Its hard to believe 6 months have already gone by since her birth. It seems like everything has been set to fast forward.

Last week, I finally got my car legal and my license back. Thank God....actually Thank Grandma. I really don't know what I would do without her. She helps me so much. Plus she even got me a laptop. Which means I can edit and post more often. As you may have noticed, I deleted all my other posts. I decided I would start over.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Last weekend we got a new kitten. I named him Twilight. He is the cutest thing ever! He totally adores Lilyana.
